Rainbow Center Board of Directors

For 29 years, Rainbow Center has served as both a resource provider and a community hub for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and families in Tacoma and across Pierce County. Our work connects people with practical support while creating spaces to build relationships, celebrate identity, and find belonging.

Our Mission

Through education, advocacy, and celebration, Rainbow Center expands resources and safe spaces for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, two-spirit, and allied community.

Our Approach

We believe that lasting change happens when people have both practical support and meaningful connection. Everything we do is guided by a simple framework:

• Educate to build understanding and awareness.
• Advocate to advance equity and access.
• Celebrate to honor identity and community.

As board members, we help sustain this work through thoughtful leadership, responsible stewardship, and a commitment to listening to our community. Each of us brings experience and perspective that strengthen Rainbow Center’s ability to help people feel safe, supported, and connected.
