Community Centers & Organizing
Community Centers & Organizing helps LGBTQIA2S+ people in Tacoma and Pierce County build relationships, participate in community conversations, and engage in collective action.

Community spaces and organizing for LGBTQIA2S+ connection
Community organizing begins with connection. Rainbow Center creates and supports spaces where LGBTQIA2S+ people can gather, share experiences, identify needs, and work together toward a more inclusive region.
Community-building opportunities may include:
- Drop-in community spaces
- Volunteer engagement
- Community conversations and listening sessions
- Advocacy and organizing opportunities
- Partnerships with local groups and organizations
- Opportunities to build fellowship and collective power
These programs help people move from isolation to connection and from concern to action. Rainbow Center supports community-led organizing that reflects the real experiences and priorities of LGBTQIA2S+ people throughout Tacoma and Pierce County.
