Community Equity Advocate

Ed’s advocacy work is particularly focused on underserved identities within the LGBTQA community. He helps community members get the support and services they need, whether it be recovering after a crime, finding LGBTQ-friendly resources, or navigating immigration systems.

Ed was born and raised in Puerto Rico.  In 2015, he moved to Washington State with his husband seeking new opportunities.  He obtained an Associate degree in Entrepreneurship and attended the University of the Sacred Heart where he finished his BA in Multidisciplinary Studies with focus in Public Relations, Psychology and Small Business, and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Management for Non-Profit Organizations.  Ed has over 10 years of experience in banking/financial industry, as well as management in public and private sectors, LGBTQ economic and cultural affairs, creative design, music business and marketing strategies.  In 2015, he published his first Spanish poetry book “Estigmas de una noche sin copas”.  Ed has enjoyed working on behalf of different causes and events, including the Women’s Business Institute, Puerto Rico Queer Film Fest and SeaMar Community Health Centers among others.
