Board Member
Christopher Davis is a dedicated public servant, experienced community organizer, and equity-driven leader with a strong background in civic engagement, LGBTQ2SA+ advocacy, and grassroots program development. He currently serves as the Neighborhood Connections Program Coordinator for the City of Lakewood, Washington, where he facilitates partnerships between neighborhood residents and city leadership through initiatives like “Desserts on the Driveway,” promoting civic participation and transparency.
Christopher is also the founder of The Playground KiKi, a culturally affirming space for Black and Brown LGBTQ2S+ individuals in Tacoma and Seattle. Through this initiative, he has cultivated wellness-focused events, nurtured creative expression through the ballroom scene, and secured grant funding to sustain critical health and community programs.
Previously, he held leadership roles at the Pierce County AIDS Foundation, where he championed HIV prevention, managed health programs, and engaged in legislative advocacy to advance public health equity. He currently supports DEI and intercultural engagement at the University of Puget Sound.
With a degree in Planning and Environmental Policy from Western Washington University, Christopher brings a systems-thinking approach to community development, strategic planning, and inclusive governance. His work bridges government, nonprofit, and grassroots spheres to amplify marginalized voices and build more connected, resilient communities.
