co moved to Washington from Chattanooga, TN in August of 2014 to serve as Division Controller for Life Care Centers for America’s Northwest Division. Jco began her career as an accountant with Life Care in 2006 but it was her strong passion for leadership development blended with her dual bachelor’s degrees in business and Accounting, that led her to a career in financial operations. Now, she oversees the financial and cash management of 28 skilled nursing facilities in WA, OR, ID and UT.  She thoroughly enjoys analyzing outcomes and processes and developing and implementing strategies to capitalize on opportunities for improvement within an organization.

Jco became involved in the Tacoma queer community in 2018 through a queer sports organization.  It was these foundational moments of acceptance and feeling of “home” in her life that inspired Jco to do her part in building up the queer community in her corner of the PNW, most recently starting their own queer sports and recreation league in Seattle.

Jco values bringing people together that have shared experiences, fostering community engagement and building relationships. As you can imagine, Jco experienced challenges finding flourishing queer communities in the South. She’s since found a community that she cares for deeply and hopes to give back to the community that has given so much to her.  These experiences drive Jco’s passion to serve the Tacoma community in a greater way.

Jco lives in Central Tacoma with her 2 cocker spaniels.  She enjoys playing sports, exploring the beauty of the PNW, being outside or on the water in the summertime and doing projects with her hands, such as restoring old furniture.  Jco considers herself something of an extravert and loves spending time with friends in community.
